For the first time since 2006, K-State took a set from Texas in Austin but ultimately fell in four sets.  The Cats played nearly mistake-free in the opener against the #6 ranked Longhorns, winning 25-23.  Texas though bounced back to claim victory over the final three frames 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.  K-State’s Lilla Porubek led the way with 13 kills, and Kaitlynn Pelger returned from injury to play in the front row with eight kills.  Bailey Webster led Texas with 16 kills.

K-State volleyball is 18-9 overall and 7-6 in the Big 12, and will make their final road trip in Big 12 play on Wednesday to Iowa State.  First serve is at 6:30pm at Hilton Coliseum and pregame begins at 6:00 on KMAN.
