    Friday Riley County Police Reports

    1.

    A Minneapolis Minnesota man was arrested by Riley county police for aggravated battery.

    25-year-old Calvin Cyprian of 3515 Penn avenue in Minneapolis was arrested on a alleged aggravated battery that occurred on the 30th of October in 2010.  The arrest took place at noon on Thursday near the 600 block of Colorado.

    Cyprian was released on a $5,000 bond.

    2.

    A Ogden man reported two weapons stolen to Riley county police.

    38-year-old Bradley O’Harold from the 100 block on 12th street in Ogden told police that his 1 mm Glock, and Ruger Superhawk .44 magnum had been taken sometime between the 3rd and 11th of April.

    O’Harold named a suspect, but no arrests have been made so far, and the estimated dollar loss for the theft is just over $1,000.

    Riley County Police say the recent worthless checks case has three new incidents, and that brings the count up to 15.

    The cases have been streaming in, and have all been connected with the last three cases being reported on Friday morning.

    According to Riley county police reports a worthless check for six dollars and another for $146.00  were passed at Gambinos Pizza on 400 hayes drive.

    A third worthless check was reportedly given to B-Street Design on the 500 block of poyntz to the tune of $200.00.

    The incidents are being worked as theft cases as the checks are being made from closed or fraudulent accounts, and are intentionally being passed to defraud the companies.

    Riley county police are investigating, and no arrests have been made at this time.

     

    4.

    A man is in custody after being arrested by Riley County police for failure to appear.

    18-year-old Darrian Porter was arrested near the 1000 block of Bluemont on Friday morning based off of  a warrant out of Wyandotte county for failure to appear in court.

    The arrest in linked to a original charge of felony criminal damage to property.  The felony is being described as damage to property that exceeds over $1,000.

    Porter is being held without bond.

     

    5.

    A Junction City Man is being held for failure to appear at court by the Riley County Police department.

    23-year-old Corbin McMorris was arrested at the Riley county police station on a warrant from Riley County stemming from a original charge of violation of a protective order.

    McMorris is being held by police on a $5,000 bond.
