    Deceased Soldier Found in Manhattan Residence

    Accordng to police reports on May 18, 2012 at approximately 0720 hours the Riley County Police Department received a 911 call at a Manhattan residence about a deceased male.  The caller believed the male, a 24 year old Fort Riley Soldier, was already deceased at the time of the 911 call and this was confirmed by EMS and the Coroner.    

     The soldier’s name and address is being withheld at this time pending next of kin notification.  Police do not suspect any foul play at this time and are awaiting the results of an autopsy planned for the weekend. 

     Further information will likely be released on Monday, May 21, 2012.
