A long time attorney with the City of Manhattan will work his last day in the position on Friday.
After serving as the City Attorney of Manhattan for 35 years, William “Bill” Frost will retire from the position at the end of the work week.
Frost started his career with the City of Manhattan as a Prosecutor and an Assistant City Attorney in January of 1977, becoming the City Attorney in September of 1978.
In his tenure, Frost offered legal advice to city administration, the city commission and other boards of the city. Frost represented the city in litigation and appeals involving all aspects of municipal law including zoning matters.
Katharine Jackson, Deputy City Attorney of Manhattan will be promoted to the the City Attorney position pending Frost’s retirement.
