The Kansas Highway patrol is investigating a fatal one vehicle accident in Wabaunsee county, that took the life of a 69-year-old man Sunday, who served in the state legislature.
Robert Bethell of Alden died in the crash, reported about 7:30 Sunday evening just west of Snokomo Road on I-70.
Behell was driving a 2004 Lincoln westbound when the vehicle left the roadway, struck several trees, overturned, and came to rest on its roof.
Bethel represented the 113th district, which includes Rice, Reno, and Butler counties.
