The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named former Manhattan High standout Zach Nelson an academic all-American. Nelson spent the past two years at Cowley College in Ark City. He carried a 3.64 GPA and tied for second on the Tigers with 30 three points shots made this season & had a 3.9 points per game scoring average. Nelson will continue his college career at Friends University in Wichita. In his high school days, Nelson led Manhattan to the 2010 6A state tournament.
