Three people were taken to the hospital following a two vehicle accident in Marshall County Saturday morning. 20 year old Gentry Botkin of Blue Rapids, 20 year old Mallory Schmidt of topeka, and 57 year old William Roche, of Frankfort were taken to Onaga/St. Mary’s Community Hospital  following the Saturday morning accident at K-99 and Bobcat Lane, six miles south of Frankfort.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Botkin was driving a 2005 Ford Taurus westbound on Bobcat, with the second vehicle a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado truck driven by Roche of Frankfort , southbound on K-99. Botkin’s vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, with Roche’s truck striking it in the passenger side. The truck came to rest in a west ditch, with the Taurus comeing to rest in an east ditch.

Schmidt was a passenger in Botkin’s vehicle. Another passenger was not injured.

And as KMAN news first told you Saturday evening, one person reportedly received minor injuries in a Saturday afternoon accident near Belvue. Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat tells KMAN the accident occurred shortly after one p.m. on highway 24, about two miles east of Belvue, with a vehicle going into a field. The accident happened near Schoeman Road. The individual was transported to Wamego City Hospital with what were described as very minor injuries.
