Five players scored in double figures led by Brittany Chambers’ 15 points as the K-State women won for the second time in the last three days, 89-55 over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sunday afternoon at Bramlage Coliseum. The Cats jumped out to a 47-26 halftime lead as Haley Texada scored all 10 of her points in the first half. Also in double figures was Bri Craig with 13 points, while Ashia Woods and Ashlynn Knoll each also scored 10. K-State (2-0) hit 14 of their 35 three point shot attempts, led by Craig’s four makes. The Golden Lions (0-1) were topped in scoring by Chigoziany Okwumbua’s 14 points.
The K-State women won’t play again until they travel to Tennessee State on Tuesday, November 19th. Tipoff will be at 7:00pm in Nashville, and coverage from the K-State Sports Network will be at 6:30 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.
