Multiple warrants lead the the arrest of a local man.
Riley County police told reporters on Monday that Nicholas Michael Howe (22) was taken into custody early Sunday morning due to a large variety of warrants that had been issued to him.
Howe had a $2,000 warrant from the Riley County court charging him with probation violation with an original charge of driving on a revoked license and being a habitual offender. There was also a warrant worth $2,500 issued from the city of Wamego for driving while suspended, leaving the scene of an accident, and having the wrong tag on his vehicle.
There was also a warrant for Howe from the city of Marysville for two counts of failure to appear worth a total of $3,000.
Woodson county also had a warrant issued for Howe for probation revocation worth $5,000 and finally one from Pottawatomie county worth $453, also for probation revocation . No original charges were available for the Woodson and Pottawatomie county warrants .
The total amount of bonds was $12,953. Howe posted bond and was released.

Driving on a suspended license leads to two arrests.
Riley County police told reporters on Monday that Wendy Kaye Montgomery (42) of the 900th block of Colorado St. was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license and as a habitual offender. Montgomery was driving down Farm Bureau RD, when an officer spotted her and recognized her.
Montgomery was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
In a related incident, Jonathan Scott Cargal (18) of the 1900 block of Lilac LN, was arrested at around 4:00 Saturday morning and charged with driving on a suspended or canceled license, and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle.
Cargal remains confined on a $8,000 bond

An incident of criminal damage to property may be related to previous incidents of the same type.
Riley County Police told reporters on Monday that they received a report of criminal damage to property on Friday morning that involved a local business.
The ERA group, located at 1430 Poyntz Ave had one of their front windows smashed in with what appears to be a BB gun or air assault rifle.
Sarah Duncan of the ERA group says that the damage amounted to about $350.
This incident may be related to the recent string of incidents of property being damaged by a BB gun.
Police say that the investigation is ongoing.

A local business is the victim of damage to property involving graffiti .
Riley county police told reporters on Monday that Scott Sowell (53) filed a report with them that sometime between 5pm on Friday and 6am on Saturday, several items related to his business had been vandalized and tagged with graffiti.
The business , Built So Well, is located at 1210 Pottawatomie St. in Manhattan. A garage door worth $100 and a trash dumpster, also worth $100 located on the property were damaged.
Also damaged were two trash trucks belonging to A1 trash, located at 1727 Cedar Crest Dr. The damage to the trucks is estimated to be $2,000.
An investigation is ongoing.
