Fatal Accident In Riley County

An 88-year-old Manhattan woman died in a two vehicle crash just north of Manhattan this past weekend.

Betty Clark died when attempting to cross Highway 24 or Tuttle Creek Boulevard at the K-13 or South Dam Road intersection.  The 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan Clark was driving was struck by a 1993 Toyota G-T Coupe driven by Bryan Tejada, 19, of Colorado, which was northbound on highway 24. Tejada’s vehicle caught fire but he was not injured.

The accident was reported at 4:45 Saturday afternoon.
