    Dodds & Nealy Among KS Sports HOF Inductees

    The Kansas Sports Hall of Fame has announced its 2014 inductees.
    The class will consist of ten members, including three with K-State ties. Riley native and former K-State and Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds will be inducted.  Dodds was a standout in track and field as a Wildcat athlete and also spent 13 years as the program’s head coach before taking over as AD.

    A pair of K-State men’s basketball players also are being enshrined, all time leading rebounder Ed Nealy, who also played 10 years in the the NBA, and two-time All-American Chuckie Williams.

    Other notables on the list include two legendary coaches, eight-time state football champion Roger Barta of Smith Center, and former Wichita State baseball head man Gene Stephenson, who led the Shockers to the 1989 College World Series title.
