OMAHA, Neb. (AP)   Daniel Pinero’s sacrifice fly scored Thomas Woodruff in the bottom of the 15th inning to give Virginia a 3-2 victory over TCU on Tuesday night in a game that matched the longest in the College World Series’ 66-year history.

Texas Tech wound up 0-2 in their first trip to Omaha as Ole Miss pinch hitter John Gatlin’s single in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Rebels a 2-1 victory over the Red Raiders on Tuesday afternoon.

The Horned Frogs (48-17) will play Ole Miss in an elimination game Thursday night.

Texas will try to stay alive in the CWS on Wednesday night when they rematch with UC Irvine in an elimination game at 7:00pm.
