    Updated 11:10 a.m. Monday:
The Riley County Police Department on July 20, 2014 at approximately 6:20 PM responded to an emergency call in the 100 block of 10th Street in Ogden. Upon arrival police were made aware of an incident that involved two men entering an apartment and injuring a victim during an apparent aggravated robbery and burglary. The suspect and victims were known to each other.

At approximately 6:00 PM Johnny Cossey, 38, and Timothy Holmes, 43, entered the residence of Vincent Taylor, 22, all subjects are of Ogden, Kansas. Immediately upon the two men making entry, Taylor was accosted and received two puncture wounds (one small wound to the cheek and one wound to the neck). The victim was also struck with a blunt object. Also inside the residence, however uninjured, was Samantha Rex, 24, of Ogden, Kansas.

On the evening of July 20, 2014, police investigating the robbery and attack were able to locate and arrest Cossey and Holmes, who had fled the scene prior to police arriving.

Cossey was arrested for attempted murder in the first degree, aggravated robbery, and aggravated burglary. He was given a bond of $1,000,000.00 and was confined at the time of this release in the Riley County Jail.

Holmes was arrested for attempted murder in the first degree, aggravated robbery, and aggravated burglary. He was given a bond of $500,000.00 and was also confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this release.

The Riley County Police Department does not anticipate any further arrests in this matter and after being life-flighted for medical treatment Taylor is believed to make a full recovery.

Still no details, but two Ogden men reportedly were arrested in connection with an attempted murder case. Monday’s arrest log from Riley County Police earlier indicated murder in the first degree, but RCPD PIO Mat Droge clarified at 8:30 a.m. that the case actually involved attempted murder.
Taken into custody were  Johnny Cossey, 38, and Timothy Holmes, 43. The two were arrested Sunday evening shortly after 7 p.m. The charges also reportedly involved aggravated robbery, and aggravated burglary counts.
Cossey’s bond was listed as one million dollars and Holmes’ bond as $500,000. The two were arrested in the 100 block of 10th Street in Ogden.
While not confirmed it’s connected, an aggravated assault with a knife incident was reported in that same general area in Ogden shortly after six Sunday night.
