Democratic candidate for Governor Paul Davis spoke to more than 60 supporters in Manhattan Saturday, prior to the Kansas State football game. Davis also stopped by the KMAN studio Saturday afternoon, and talked about issues that seem to be of primary concern to those who were at the rally at Triangle Park.  He says education was one concern he heard about at the local rally.Davis tells KMAN supporting education is crucial to growing the Kansas economy. Davis says education is something Kansans have always valued and we’re going to need great public schools to grow the economy.

The Democratic candidate also expressed concern about income tax rate changes. He says while changes won’t be made overnight, he suggests freezing the tax rates and beginning the  restoring of funding to public schools.
