There’s been the first filing for election to the Manhattan/Ogden USD 383 School board. Nicholas Dyer has decided to try for a position on the board during this coming spring’s election. Dyer tells KMAN he’s a 20 year old alumni of Manhattan High School and is currently a student at Highland Community College in Wamego. He has served on the Social Service Advisory Board with the City of Manhattan.
The spring election is for four USD 383 school board positions and three city commission seats.  The four school board members who have expiring terms are:  Dave Colburn, Darrell Edie, Leah Fliter and Curt Herrman.
April 7th is the General election. The filing deadline is January 27th.
