    MHS Wrestling Wins Centennial League Title

    The Manhattan High Indian wrestling team won the 2016 Centennial League Championship on Saturday. Scoring 215 team points. Washburn Rural came in 2nd with 151 ponts. MHS had 10 wrestlers make it to the championship finals. While eight of the 10 won a league title. 145 lbs junior Mason Wallace earned the Most Outstanding Wrestlers award and coach Robert Gonzales was named league coach of the year.

    Centennial League 2015-16 Results for Manhattan:

    106 – Troy Wooten (9-15) place is unknown and scored 0.00 team points.

    113 – Joe Braun (26-2) placed 1st and scored 17.00 team points.

    120 – Bubba Wilson (25-11) placed 2nd and scored 14.00 team points.

    126 – Abraham Sanchez (17-12) placed 1st and scored 22.00 team points.

    132 – Devin Norris (30-9) placed 1st and scored 22.00 team points.

    138 – Jalin Harper (33-4) placed 1st and scored 21.00 team points.

    145 – Mason Wallace (34-3) placed 1st and scored 26.00 team points.

    152 – Zephry Killham (26-8) placed 1st and scored 20.00 team points.

    160 – Iverson Robb (15-16) place is unknown and scored 2.00 team points.

    170 – Blake Wewer (12-5) placed 1st and scored 22.00 team points.

    182 – Carlos Martinez (15-12) placed 2nd and scored 14.00 team points.

    195 – Robert Houston (17-12) placed 3rd and scored 15.00 team points.

    220 – Hunter Christensen (11-14) place is unknown and scored 0.00 team points.

    285 – Eldon Picou (30-3) placed 1st and scored 20.00 team points.
