Riley County Public Works will begin a series of road improvement projects this week. Workers will be chip sealing roads around the county starting July 23.

Officials said in a release that traffic will not be closed on any roads being worked on, but they advise residents to expect delays on the following roads as work progresses: Mound Ridge Road, Lakeside Drive, Hi-View Drive, Ram Way, Winkler Mills Road, Lasita Road, LK&W Road, Stagg Hill Road, Skyway Drive, Wildcat Creek Road, W. 68th Avenue.

Public Works will start at Mound Ridge and work their way down the list. The project is estimated to be completed by Thursday, August 2 barring weather delays.

Officials recommend using alternate routes when possible.

If you have questions concerning this project, contact the Riley County Public Works Department at 6215 Tuttle Creek Blvd., Manhattan, Kansas or call 537-6330.
