    Manhattan man arrested on fraud, forgery charges

    MANHATTAN — A Manhattan man is facing fraud charges stemming from an incident this week.

    According to the Riley County Police Department arrest report, 51-year-old Anthony Ray Moss was arrested on multiple charges Thursday including two counts of forgery, two counts of making false information, theft by deception and mistreatment of a dependent adult. He’s also charged with giving five worthless checks, including one valued greater than $25,000 and four others listed at less than $1,000. Moss was arrested in the 400 block of South 17th Street.

    According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, Moss has a past criminal history involving drugs, burglary and theft in Riley County.

    Moss is jailed on a total $24,000 bond.
