As COVID-19 cases rise across the country, the need for further manpower in the health-care industry has resulted in calls for retired medical professionals to re-enter the workforce.
Bob Copple, President of Ascension Via Christi Hospital, says a similar trend is occurring locally.

Copple says their help is largely being used to help run a COVID-19 screening hotline, which helps provide guidance for those potentially experiencing symptoms.

The screening-hotline phone number is 785-323-6400.
