Operation Kansas Strong flyovers are planned in four Kansas communities including Manhattan to salute the front line workers in the fight against COVID-19. Colonel Lee Norman, state surgeon for the Kansas Army National Guard will be flying with leaders from the Kansas National Guard. The flyover includes five Manhattan locations including the Riley County Police Department, Ascension Via Christi, Manhattan Surgical Hospital, Manhattan Vet Center and downtown Manhattan. The flyover will take place at approximately 1:13 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. Arrival times are subject to change based on weather, air traffic, and airspace requirements.
