Manhattan High senior defensive tackle Damien Ilalio made it official Thursday morning. He signed his national letter of intent next to his parents and in front of a small group at Manhattan’s West campus.

The signing makes Ilalio offically the 15th Wildcat for the class of 2021.

According to Rivals, Ilalio is a three-star recruit and is the No. 6 overall player out of the state of Kansas. He also received an offer from Air Force.

In his senior season with the Indians, Ilalio was named Centennial League defensive player of the year thanks for his 44.5 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks on the season.

Ilalio becomes the 2nd defensive lineman to join K-State’s 2021 class. He’s joined by three-star recruit Brayden Wood from Boulder, Colorado.

However, Damian’s Manhattan high school sports isn’t over yet. Ilalio is wrestling at heavyweight for Coach Robert Gonzales and is currently ranked No. 1 in 6A.
