After moving into the top spot in 6A with a blowout win over Topeka High last Friday night, Manhattan puts their 2-0 mark on the line at Hays tonight.

The Indians took over the top spot in multiple polls this week after having upset Derby in week one, then besting Topeka High 59-7 a week ago. Previous number one Blue Valley Northwest fell to St. Thomas Aquinas last Friday night.

The host team has picked up wins over Junction City and Great Bend to open the year 2-0. Hays moved into KPreps.com’s Top 5 for 5A after the win over Great Bend last Friday night.

Coverage of Friday’s game starts at 6:30pm on Newsradio KMAN.

Also tonight, Rock Creek hosts Riley County. The Mustangs are 1-1 after beating St. Mary’s 41-20 last Friday night. Riley County is in search of its first win, having lost to Silver Lake and Rossville. Tonight’s game airs on B104.7, presented by Carpet One of Manhattan, starting at 6:30pm.

Junction City seeks an upset of McPherson, which has put up over 40 points in each of its two wins. The Blue Jays opened with a loss at Hays in week one before doubling up Dodge City last Friday night, 42-21.

Wamego continues its three-game road swing by visiting Concordia. The Red Raiders are 2-0 after wins over Clay Center and Marysville, while the Panthers have split their first two games.

Blue Valley Randolph is in search of its first win of the season, hosting Wakefield Friday night.  Frankfort also tries to gain its first win of the year, visiting unbeaten Lyndon.
