Riley County Police filed a report for aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer Wednesday morning after responding to a traffic incident in Ogden involving a 16-year-old male runaway.
As officers attempted to make contact, the unidentified teenager allegedly made a threat against the officer with an air pistol, which initially appeared to be a handgun. The officer was able to prevent the teen from grabbing the weapon while another officer safely secured it.
RCPD says the teen was processed for juvenile runaway and transported for a mental health evaluation.
