The program determines eligibility from the amount of students on free or reduced lunch, including foster students, migrant students, homeless students or part of the state’s Medicaid free pilot program, according to Smith. The board unanimously supported the grant funded program. In addition, meal prices district wide were also approved, staying unchanged for child meals, with adult breakfast and lunch prices increasing to meet the USDA recommended price.
