Officers filed a report for burglary in the 2700 block of Brittany Ter. in Manhattan on May 26, 2023, around 6:00 a.m. A 24-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman were listed as the victims when it was reported the woman’s unlocked car was entered and the man’s .38 revolver, 20 rounds of ammunition, and $15 cash inside were stolen. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $435. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on May 26, 2023, around 9:45 a.m. 14- and 16-year-old girls were listed as the victims and a 39-year-old man known to them was listed as the suspect. Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.

Officers recovered a 2003 Kawasaki ZX900F2 motorcycle on May 26, 2023, in the 2100 block of Casement Rd. in Manhattan that had been reported stolen from the 500 block of N. 5th St. in Manhattan on May 23, 2023.  A 38-year-old man was listed as the suspect when officers observed him riding the motorcycle in the area of Casement, after officers engaged him, he abandoned the motorcycle and ran. Officers were unable to locate him but found marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia in a box on the motorcycle. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for theft of lost property in the 2300 block of Claflin Rd. in Manhattan on May 27, 2023, around 9:30 a.m. A 22-year-old woman was listed as the victim when she reported she left her Samsung Galaxy S21 in a rideshare car and an unknown suspect stole it and attempted to use financial apps on the phone. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $700. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Corneal Johnson, 33, of Manhattan was arrested on May 27, 2023, around 11:00 a.m. on his two Riley County District Court warrants for probation violation. These warrants stem from original charges of domestic battery and two counts of criminal trespass. Johnson remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $8,000.

Officers filed a report for burglary in the 1000 block of Yuma St. in Manhattan on May 29, 2023, around 11:30 a.m. I-70 Properties was listed as the victim when it was reported a door and door jam on an apartment had been broken in. Nothing from inside was reported stolen. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Brytni Johnson, 20, of Junction City was arrested on May 29, 2023, around 12:45 p.m. on her Riley County District Court material witness warrant. Johnson remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $10,000.

Ronald Saunders, 22, of Leawood was arrested on May 29, 2023, around 7:30 p.m. for violation of a protection order and interference with LEO. Saunders remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $7,000.
