A local district magistrate judge was injured Tuesday evening in a crash in northern Riley County.
According to the Riley County Police Department, officers were called out just after 5:30 p.m. for a single vehicle crash in the 6000 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. Police say 74-year-old William Malcolm, of Clay Center, was injured after his truck left the road and crashed. Malcolm was transported to Ascension Via Christi Hospital and then air lifted to Stormont Vail. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
Malcolm has been a magistrate in the 21st Judicial District since 2007. The 21st district includes Riley and Clay counties.
