Officers filed a report for fraud/worthless check/theft in the 700 block of Pecan Circle in Manhattan on December 20, 2023, around 10:51 AM. Officers listed Dehart Plumbing as the victim when it was reported two known suspects used a fake cashier’s check to pay for services. The estimated total loss associated with this case is estimated to be $13,540.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 1500 block of Fairchild Avenue in Manhattan on December 20, 2023, around 12:54 PM. Officers listed a 35-year-old male and a 26-year-old female as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect stole multiple packages belonging to the victims. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $565. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Officers filed a report for cruelty to animals in the 3200 block of Valleywood Drive in Manhattan on December 20, 2023, around 2:39 PM. It was reported a known juvenile male mistreated a dog by yanking it and punching it.

Officers filed a report for fraud in the 300 block of South Seth Child Road in Manhattan on December 20, 2023, around 4:05 PM. Officers listed Classic Wine and Spirits as the victim when it was reported two unknown suspects made payments using credit card numbers and then received a chargeback from the credit card company stating it was fraudulent. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,245. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Israel Newby, 20, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 9900 block of Jasmine Drive in Manhattan on December 20, 2023, around 1:32 PM. Newby was arrested on a probable cause offense of rape. The crime is reported to have occurred in December 2023. Newby was issued a total bond of $250,000 and was confined at the time of this report.
