Several area schools have called off classes Tuesday, due to the extreme cold. A Wind Chill Warning will be in place through noon.
Kansas State University is closed today, though essential employees are told to report for duty. Dining centers are open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fort Riley is operating on a two hour delay.
Manhattan Area Technical College, Manhattan Christian College, Manhattan-Ogden USD 383 and Geary County USD 475 Schools are all closed today. A full list of closings and delays can be found here.
The Riley County Transfer Station closed remains closed Tuesday, due to weather.
Riley County officials say they plan to reopen Wednesday morning if weather permits. The Riley County Police Department has implemented its Emergency Accident Reporting Phase.
