    Officers responded to the report of an injury crash in the 5300 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan on January 4, 2024, around 6:06 PM. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 2009 Toyota Rav4 driven by Jeanie Peters, 74, of Olsburg, Kansas was involved in a crash with a 2020 Kia Forte driven by Mia Efaw, 74, also of Manhattan. Both Peters and Efaw were transported to Via Christi for treatment of minor injuries.   Peters was issued a citation for improper driving on a laned roadway.

    Austin Rowzer, 30, of Manhattan was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on January 4, 2024 at approximately 12:50 PM. Rowzer was arrested on a probable cause offense for violation of the offender registration act. The original charge was for failure to register as a drug offender. Rowzer was issued a total bond of $5,000 and was confined at the time of this report.
