The Riley County Police Department updated information on an incident that occurred Sunday afternoon in the 1400 block of Flint Hills Place.

The incident, now known to be a shooting, took place shortly before 2pm yesterday, where first responders found a 53-year-old male victim who sustained two gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Ascension Via Christi and has since been transfered to a larger hospital. No further information on the victim is available.

The suspect in the shooting remains at large, but is not considered to be a threat to the community at this time. The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact crime stoppers.
