Authorities are investigating an overnight shooting in Manhattan that left one person injured.

The Riley County Police Department says officers were dispatched to a shooting at The District Apartments (1400 Watson Place), near College Ave. and Claflin Road at around 12:20 a.m. A 20-year-old woman was found with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. A witness nearby tells KMAN they heard two shots back to back and then heard a car speed off going northbound toward Kimball Ave.

The woman, who was not publicly identified, was transported via air ambulance to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. Her condition is currently unknown.

Police have not yet named a suspect and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers. The investigation is ongoing.
