Following an 86-76 regular season and tying for second in the American League Central Division, the Kansas City Royals are playoff bound for the first time since winning the Commissioner’s Trophy in 2015. With having the tiebreaker over the Detroit Tigers, the Royals have earned the second Wild Card spot.
Kansas City will hit the road for a best-of-three series at the Baltimore Orioles starting Tuesday. All three games, if a third game is necessary, with be played at Camden Yards. The winner of the series will play the New York Yankees in the ALDS.
