A Geary County man was taken to a local hospital following an injury accident in Jefferson on Thursday morning.

Geary County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 1600 block of Cannon View Drive at approximately 7 a.m. after reports came in of a single-vehicle accident. Kieshawn Nolan of Grandview Plaza was traveling northeast on Cannon View in his 2018 Ford Escape when he swerved to avoid a deer and ran off the road and struck a tree.

Irwin was transported to Irwin Hospital by EMS for non-life threatening injuries and his vehicle was removed from the scene.
