An Eskridge man is set to be sentenced next month after accepting a plea agreement for two counts of child rape.

According to a report from KVOE, Manuel Thomas Bailey, 24, will be sentenced on Jan. 14, 2025. He was initially accused of aggravated indecent liberties with a child back in July.

He was later arrested and charged with two counts of the offense with a child no more than seven years old at the time. The offenses reportedly occurred over this past summer. Prosecutors also added alternate counts of child rape to the charges plus two more indecent liberties counts.

As part of the plea, KVOE reported Bailey plead no contest to child rape involving activities between early May and early July of this year. He could face anywhere from 12 to over 54 years in prison.
