K-State needed an extra five minutes on Thursday night, but the Wildcats were perfect in the extra frame to hold back the upset bid from Iowa State, 87-79, at Bramlage Coliseum.

With its win on Thursday night, K-State secured the 28th 20-win season in program history. This is the fifth 20-win season under the direction of head coach Jeff Mittie.
