On today’s episode of Within Reason with Mike Matson, Mike speaks with Blade Mages about the future of Manhattan’s Wareham Hall.
Formerly an opera house, Wareham Hall has since held everything from pandemic court hearings to sing-along showings of Frozen. With extensive plans for renovation, Mages and his team hope to foster creativity, connection, and growth in the updated space. Mages clues listeners in to innovations like cutting-edge acoustic technology and comfortable green rooms for performers. The $35 million project will begin in late summer if fundraising is complete, with a grand opening in fall 2027.
Manhattanites may expect something for everyone at the Wareham–floorboard-rocking music, film festivals, educational workshops, and everything in between. The team aims to preserve the historic essence of the building while ensuring it a promising future, breathing new life into arts and culture in Manhattan.
