    Manhattan welcomes return of Class 2A state basketball tournament

    Fans attend a KSHSAA 2A state tournament boys’ basketball game between Valley Falls High School and Syracuse High School on Wednesday afternoon at K-State’s Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan. The tournament made its return to the Little Apple this year and runs through Saturday, with both boys’ and girls’ teams competing. (Lewis Marien, The Mercury)

    High school basketball’s ultimate prize is up for grabs this week as state tournaments get underway across Kansas.

    After a one year hiatus, due to scheduling conflicts with Kansas State University, the Class 2A tournament has returned to Bramlage Coliseum. Visit Manhattan Executive Director Marcia Rozell said her office is excited to host the tournament again.
