A Kentucky man was arrested Thursday morning after an overnight manhunt, stemming from a high speed chase on Interstate 70.

According to the Junction City Police Department, 24-year-old Robeon Downs and two other suspects fled after their vehicle became disabled near McDowell Creek Road, shortly before midnight. A search of the suspect vehicle found 84 pounds of marijuana and over $18,000 in cash.

Downs was eventually located and taken into custody on several charges including felony flee and elude, interference with law enforcement and drug charges.

The other two suspects remained at large as of Thursday morning, but police said they don’t believe there is any immediate threat the residents in the McDowell Creek area.

JCPD had assistance from multiple agencies, including the Riley County Police Department, and the Dickinson, Geary and Morris County Sheriff’s Offices.
