    Officers filed a report of criminal damage to property and intimidation of a witness or victim at approximately 6:34 p.m. on Oct. 22, 2025 in Manhattan. A 27-year-old woman was listed as the victim and 33-year-old man known to the victim was listed as the suspect. Michael Brooks, 33, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 9:08 p.m. in Manhattan for criminal damage to property and intimidation of a witness or victim. Brooks was issued a total bond of $6,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    William Benner, 24, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 5:43 p.m. on Oct. 22 in the 400 block of Fort Riley Blvd., on a Riley County District Court warrant and a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. This arrest stems from original charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license, respectively. Benner was also charged with interference with a law enforcement officer and trafficking contraband into a correctional facility. Benner was issued a total bond of $18,500 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report of vehicle theft in the 800 block of Laramie at approximately 10:16 a.m. on Oct. 22. A 19-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole his Honda motorcycle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is $2,700.
