Water main break impacting residents near Hunters Island, Moehlman Bottoms

Map showing affected area of Feb. 3 water main break, south of Manhattan.

Riley County residents living near Hunters Island and Moehlman Bottoms are temporarily without water, due to a water main break in the area.

The break is affecting about 200 people living in the area, while crews complete emergency repairs. This includes areas around South Manhattan Ave, Collins Lane, Henton Road, Moehlman Road and areas further south.

Water service is expected to be restored by the end of the day, but customers in the affected area will be under a boil water advisory until further notice. This means all drinking and cooking should be boiled for at least one minute before use.
