BAXTER SPRINGS, Kan. (AP) — An Oklahoma man is accused of abducting a woman and forcing her to dance at a Kansas strip club, then taking the money she earned at the club. Gary Ballard of Tulsa is charged with aggravated human trafficking and aggravated kidnapping. The 23-year-old victim was reported missing from Coweta, Oklahoma. three weeks ago. WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Authorities say more than a dozen people were injured when a nitrogen line ruptured at a Beechcraft aircraft manufacturing facility in Wichita, Kansas, and caused part of the building to collapse. Sedgwick County Deputy Fire Chief Daniel Wegner says the explosion happened at around 8 a.m. Friday. The county’s emergency medical services director, John Gallagher, says 11 patients were taken to a hospitals and four were treated at the scene. He said one person had potentially serious injuries. COFFEYVILLE, Kan. (AP) — Authorities say a Kansas law enforcement pursuit that ended in a deadly crash started when a driver in a pickup truck slammed head on into the patrol cars of deputies who had stopped to attend to a deer that had been struck by a vehicle. TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Personal income growth in Kansas is below the national average largely because of troubles in agriculture. Kansas Public Radio reports that the state’s personal income has grown by 1.6% since late 2007, when the Great Recession started. The national rate is 2.1%.
