WICHITA — The Latest on the shooting of a Department of Revenue employee in Wichita: 3:55 p.m. The Kansas Department of Revenue says the man accused of shooting a seizure agent at its office in Wichita has two tax warrants totaling almost $400,000 related to his construction business. Police have identified the suspect as 51-year-old Ricky Wirths of Wichita. He is accused of shooting Cortney Holloway at the office in Wichita on Tuesday afternoon. Holloway is in stable condition. For the second consecutive week, a Kansas State women’s soccer student-athlete has received the Big 12 Freshman of the Week award as the league office announced Hannah Davis as the honoree. Riley County Police have announced a missing 15-year-old from Ogden. Calob Haymond reportedly went missing from Salina Sunday afternoon at about 4:30. Calob, who is from Ogden, was taken to Salina on Friday by his family and dropped off at a friend’s house to spend the weekend. He and a friend were reportedly out walking and his last known location was in the Walmart area in south Salina. The Manhattan City Commission reviewed recommendations Tuesday contained in the latest draft of the Flint Hills/Fort Riley Joint Land Use Study. One such recommendation involves noise produced by Fort Riley and how it impacts potential home buyers close to the installation. Specifically, Fort Riley and the City of Manhattan have suggested a solution that ties noise disclosures to real estate transactions near post. A 55-year-old Kansas Department of Corrections inmate serving time on Geary County murder and rape charges apparently has been passed over for parole this time around. Oliver Smith, who was sentenced in 1989 in connection with 1986 cases, faced public comment sessions in July with a parole hearing held last month. LEAVENWORTH —  A spokesman says Tyson Foods Inc. is evaluating its options after local official backed away from offering a key incentive for a planned chicken-processing plant in northeast Kansas. The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that Tyson spokesman Worth Sparkman said the company was disappointed in the Leavenworth County Commission’s decision Monday. The commission voted 2-1 to rescind a previous resolution in favor of issuing $500 million in industrial revenue bonds to help finance the project. WICHITA — A patient of a psychiatrist stabbed to death in the alley behind his holistic practice in Kansas has been charged with first-degree murder.
