Thursday the Kansas Department of Revenue civil tax enforcement and Alcoholic Beverage Control agents with Riley County Police officers temporarily seized the business assets of Kite’s Bar & Grill which owed $37,315 in state sales, liquor and withholding taxes. The Department of Revenue reached an acceptable payment arrangement with the owner. The assets were released back to the business and they were allowed to re-open. Officers seized all known bank accounts, on-site cash, business inventory and personal property assets belonging to owner William R. A 30-year-old Manhattan man faces charges which include manufacture of methamphetamine, following his arrest shortly after 9:30 Wednesday night. Matthew Sundgren was placed under arrest in the 7600 block of Cedar Creek Road in Manhattan, which is located in Pottawatomie County. Other charges include possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful use of a telecommunications device. Sundgren is currently being held at the Pottawatomie County Jail. TEMPE, Ariz. — Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer has been deactivated from all team activities following his arrest Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault. The counts stem from two incidents involving a 27-year-old female and an 18-month-old child at Dwyer’s home in southeast Phoenix on July 21 at 8 a.m. and July 22 at 4 p.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department. One of the major topics of discussion during Wednesday night’s Manhattan Ogden USD 383 school board meeting was the possibility of forming a separate seventh grade football program.
