Freshman Kylee Zumach and sophomore Brooke Sassin powered the Wildcats (9-1) with 15 and 14 kills, respectively. TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) Republican Senator Pat Roberts’ re-election campaign has posted an online ad attacking independent candidate Greg Orman as a liberal pretending to be conservative. But Orman’s campaign demanded Friday that Roberts’ team remove the ad because it edits audio from their recent debate at the Kansas State Fair. Orman spokesman Sam Edelen called the audio “fake”.

The Color Run is described as the “Happiest 5K on the Planet”, and is currently on it’s Kaleidescope Tour.  The tour stopped in Manhattan Saturday morning, and several volunteers could be seen around the east side of Bill Snyder Family Stadium assisting with the event. Runners are instructed to arrive to the event wearing white t-shirts, and are even provided white t-shirts on site as well.  Throughout the 5K, there are different color stations where runners get dowsed in paint powder.  Once they reach the finish line, the runners have purple, pink, yellow and blue on their once-clean shirts. Bright orange t-shirts could be seen throughout K-State’s campus on Saturday, as runners participated in the third “C. Clyde Run/Fun Run/Walk”. The day kicked off at eight o’clock that morning with check-in.  The 5K race began at nine, with the “Midge’s Mile Family Fun Run” beginning at ten.  The event concluded with an awards ceremony at 11:15 a.m. Kansas State University students created the event in 2012, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the business college.  The event not only honors the college’s first dean, C. Before Friday night’s road opener, Manhattan High coach Joe Schartz talked about the importance of finishing games strong. The Indians did just that in a convincing, 41-13 victory over Seaman.
