A Junction City woman was arrested by Riley County Police early Sunday morning for failure to appear in court. Marion Robinson, 32, was taken into custody on the 1300 block of Fremont Street in Manhattan at approximately 12:30 a.m.  According to police reports Robinson was placed under arrest for the failure to appear warrant, and driving with a suspended license. Robinson’s bond is set at $7,500.

SALINA, Kan. (AP) The number of juveniles in detention in Saline County is down significantly since a judge took over the juvenile docket. The Salina Journal reports that Judge Mary Thrower says that rather than detain juvenile offenders for an extended period, she seeks out the best option for each one. She took over the juvenile docket in the county in July.
