Wamego Police are investigating the theft of a truck from Ebert Construction. The theft was reported Monday morning and involves a white 2014 F-450 from Ebert Construction at 103 West Valley Street in Wamego. The Kansas tag number is 601155. Estimated loss is $45,000. Wamego’s USD 320 Board of Education looked at its  facilities study at Monday’s regular meeting. Dr. G. Kent Stewart, a Consultant hired by the Board to do a comprehensive study of all of USD 320 property, summarized his plan. He began his presentation by saying “all the schools in Wamego are exelmpary. evidenced by all the awards hanging in the buildings”. A third arrest was made in connection with the robbery incident that occurred in the 1300 block of Flint Hills Place here in Manhattan earlier this month.  Riley County Police announced this third arrest Tuesday morning, as the man was arrested around 12:30 p.m. on Monday. The Riley County Police Department made this arrest for aggravated kidnapping, kidnapping, and aggravated robbery after an investigation into the matter led to probable cause of an additional subject. Rasheem Wilson (26), of Manhattan, was arrested in the 400 block of Maple Place for the crimes previously mentioned.  He was given a bond of $150,000. …

Kansas State Athletics Director John Currie announced Monday evening that the school will add Women’s Soccer as a Varsity sport beginning in the Fall of 2016. Currie also announced that to make room for the sport, K-State will discontinue its Varsity Equestrian program at the end of the 2015-16 academic year.
