Pottawatomie County Fire Supervisor Bruce Brazzle tells KMAN the 3:30 a.m. fire in the 3400 block of Burr Oak Road was a rekindled fire from an earlier reported chimney fire, caused by a wood-burning stove. A large structure fire took place around 1:45 a.m. Saturday morning at 509 South Park Street in Ogden. Riley County Fire trucks responded and found the double wide mobile home in Lot #1 was ablaze. It had fire showing from the north two bedrooms. Manhattan Fire Department provided mutual aid along with three other Riley County stations and around 15 volunteer firefighters. No one was home at the time of the fire. The tenant was listed as Carrie Maldenodo by the owner Kevin Stilley of Manhattan. TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) A woman who was driving the wrong way on Interstate 70 in downtown Topeka collided head-on with a police car. No one was seriously injured. Topeka police say the woman drove east for about 9 miles in the westbound lanes of the interstate early Friday.
