Ole Miss needs to sweep Virginia on Friday and Saturday night to reach next week’s best-of-three championship series. Friday’s first game in Omaha has Texas, the Big 12’s only remaining team, against unbeaten Vanderbilt at 3:00pm. The Longhorns must beat the Commodores twice to reach the championship series.

A register of deeds meeting earlier this month helped to clear up a lot of confusion, according to Riley County Register of Deeds, Debbie Regester.  She attended the meeting in McPherson, and it focused largely on the mortgage registration fee elimination. This was discussed during Thursday’s county commission meeting.  Regester explained, an attorney took each line of the bill apart.  He then explained what each part can be interpreted as. The Junction City Police Department reports two drug-related arrests Tuesday. Joshua Shaw and Dominic Butler were taken into custody shortly before 10:30 Tuesday night on charges which include sale or possession with intent to sell depressant . And JCPD took another man into custody early Wednesday morning on two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. William Cordray was arrested shortly after midnight.
