K-State will have to wait for the 2014 home opener. The Wildcats have canceled their series with Milwaukee this weekend due to weather concerns and will instead play three games in Abilene, Texas against Abilene Christian, Grand Canyon University and Missouri State. First up, K-State will play Grand Canyon University on Friday at 1:00. The Wildcats then play a doubleheader on Saturday, starting with an 11:00 a.m. first pitch against Grand Canyon followed by a 7:00 p.m. game against Missouri State. A lucky Manhattan resident has claimed the Super Kansas Cash jackpot from Monday night’s drawing. According to a press release sent by Customer Liaison with the Kansas Lottery, Karie Lowe, the winner, who asked to remain anonymous, matched all numbers on a Quick Pick ticket to win a jackpot worth $563,881. Just three weeks after national signing day, K-State football has secured its first commitment for the 2015 recruiting class. The Manhattan City Commission examined the need for infrastructure improvements for General Aviation operations on east side of Manhattan Regional airport, during Tuesday night’s work session. The improvements center around the construction of a new General Aviation facility for Fixed Base Operations (FBO).
