The Junction City-Geary County Drug Operations Group, with assistance from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Junction City/Geary County SWAT, and local uniformed law enforcement officers, executed two search warrants Wednesday at 1919 Northwind Drive Lot #2, and 1501 Dean St., in Junction City. U-S Congressman  Tim Huleskamp of Kansas is bringing his Town Hall meetings to Manhattan next week. The Congressman will be at the Manhattan Fire Department Headquarters’ Assembly Room at 2000 Denison Avenue Monday (March 17). The town hall will begin at 11:30 a.m. and is expected to last an hour.   Huelskamp has a tradition of visiting each of the district’s 63 counties each year, and has completed 219 town halls during his time in office.

A Junction City man who recently entered a plea to attempted computer crime and conspiracy to commit theft has had his probation revoked. Phillip Neu was in Geary County District Court Monday and is now in the custody of the Department of Corrections for the probation violation. Neu’s most recent case involved a gift card scheme with the Dillon’s in Junction City listed as a victim, with $40, 000  involved. His sentencing is set for April 28th. Detectives with the Riley County Police Department, along with agents from the Department of Corrections State Parole Office, conducted an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs in the Riley County area on Tuesday. Police issued a press release Wednesday morning that shared details about three coinciding arrests. The drug investigation led to a search of a residence at 230 N. Walnut in Ogden.  Terrance Estes (48) of Manhattan, and Amanda Bluthardt (34) of Ogden, were both arrested for drug related offenses.
